Sufficient Latitude 1999 Originally at the MOCA in Lake Worth, here
it is at New Langton Arts, S.F., CA in 2000.
Made of Pine, hemlock, "rubber rope", canvas, maple, musicwire, generator and low voltage lights, It measured 10' (high) x 25' x 30'.
This installation simulates the experience of being adrift at night on a black plastic sea.
Latitude is only half enough to know where you are. Out of sight of land on a starless night you are basically lost.
